I live with my family in Englewood, Colorado, not far from CSFM (I usually bike to work). My husband and I have been married for over 10 years and now have two wonderful children. We spend most of our time together as a family at home, keeping busy with our home restoration projects, gardening, chickens, cooking, baking, and art projects. We enjoy attending neighborhood potlucks, church, and extended-family birthday parties. We feel blessed to live in a community where we can walk or bike almost everywhere, keep chickens, and know our neighbors. Opening CSFM was a continuation of our lives and values.
My education includes a bachelor’s degree with a double major in biology and history (with a minor in chemistry) from the University of Denver, medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and residency in family medicine at Southern Colorado Family Medicine. Yes, that is 11 years of post-secondary education.
I am also very active in advocacy work and in this realm I’ve had the privilege of speaking on a variety of topics including access to care, poverty, and hunger.
