About Jennifer Novotny
Jenn became the new owner of Community Supported Family Medicine, LLC in March, 2020. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Jenn began her college education after serving in the United States Navy, where she worked in aviation. Jenn obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado Christian University and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Colorado-Colorado Springs in 2017. Jenn became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2009 and is a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association. She was inducted as a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in 2016 and is a scholarship recipient of the Donald H. and Joanna K. Silva Graduate Nursing Fellowship.
Jenn began her career as an Family Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine after completing her practicum hours as a student with Colorado Primary Health Care in 2016. She has experience working with patients in the sub-specialty of Addiction Medicine as a certified Buprenorphine practitioner.
Jenn has dedicated her life to serving others with compassion and caring for those in the best and worst of times. She holds a holistic approach to patient care by evaluating all factors impacting a person’s health, which allows the identification of lifestyle choices and disease management steps for patients to improve their health. She has a profound interest in bridging the treatment gap that exists in the realm of mental health and believes the integration of mental health services into the primary care setting is a critical component of overall population health and well-being.
Other professional interests include women’s health and dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys the great outdoors of Colorado hiking and going to the gym. Jenn is a single mom and has four sons, Jared (21), Dylan (18), Kyle (17) and Evan (14).
